hospital false alarm today

(Early this morning News said report of gunman in tower at the hospital .... false alarm though)

headlines WERE:

Flood Of 911 Reports Of Hospital Gunfire Prompts Massive Police Response

Then
Noisy Machine Causes Gun Scare At Scott & White hospital in Temple TX
(Second video link on that page ... first video is boring) Gun Scare At Scott & White Was False Alarm

Apparently the "noisy machine which was malfunctioning" may be a nail gun
construction crew began using nail guns to work on the roof of the second floor of the building.

The nail guns, which use either compressed air or small explosive charges to drive nails, sound almost exactly like semi-automatic firearms, police said.

Reported gun incident at Scott & White false alarm

Pretty much a non-event.

Yup, shooting those ceiling hangers with the nail gun can cause a bit of noise... They use something like a .25 caliber charge to drive the nail into the concrete.

The ram-sets Ive used utilize what was basically a .22 blank. They are color coded as to the amount of powder in each shell. More powder= larger nail.

"S&W" Hospital. :smilelol5:

Couple weeks ago a guy walked into a Texarkana hospital. Had his keys and phone in his hand, somebody thought it was a gun, they locked down and searched room to room. Found him in the cafeteria, confused like everbody else. No gun.

Must be a panic virus circulating. Earlier today I saw Davis-Monthan AFB was locked down because of false reports of gunfire and a person being hauled off in an ambulance with multiple gunshot wounds. Turns out there was no man, no gun, and the ambulance was taking a woman to the hospital because she went into labor.

Anti-gun people/Gun-fearers panic if they see a person carrying a flagpole, pipe, a walking stick or curtain rods.
News in the last few days had a few bases and schools on lockdown because someone was seeing things.

I always kinda chuckle at the antis (anti-campus carry etc) saying there'd be 100 CHLs drawing down on someone they saw with a gun, when in fact they might nod and/or say, "hey. pull your shirt down, your Second Amendment is showing" and/or ask what that fellow paid for it and what kinda sights or laser he preferred, if you're used to seeing them. A non-gun person panics at the sight of a gun, a gun person watches the actions and behavior of a person with a gun/ like is he/she muzzle sweeping, finger off the bang switch etc. Just like I don't panic at every car I see, but if the car is weaving wildly as if a sick/sleeping/drunk person is driving, more caution and distance is used.

I also don't panic when I see a pair of pointy women's shoes, unless they are involved in kicking the beejeebers outta some elderly/defenseless person.

I wonder if these are legal under San Antonio's knife laws. "rlol"
