Post your Reliant Center deals from this weekend
Went to the show yesterday since I'm working today. Thought I'd start by saying that I found a good deal on brand new mil-spec 30rnd AR mags w/ green followers for $12. Since I just bought a rifle recently I wasn't able to buy any firearms this weekend but there were some nice deals on M1 Garands and Winchester Model 94's.

I found a few good deals on knives, but managed to pass them by. There were some great defensive ammo prices if you didn't mind digging around for it. I found a box of 38 special 135 gr. hollow points for my 642 for 17 bucks.

I would have to call this one of my favorite guns....it will serve you well. Those that don't love them.......have never spent much time shooting one Even the Glock haters appreciate the 26.ru934 wrote:picked up a new glock 26 for like 550.00(INCL night sights!!!)

ya, i have owned several glocks in the past. ive been debating over the 26 vs the 36 for a while now. this is strictly a pocket gun for me....one i will have on me no matter what. after shooting it yesterday, i have to say i am happy with it so far. for such a small framed gun, it is pretty dang accurate! converting my collection over to glock, 2 at a time, as we speak! (think it would be pretty sweet to own a compl. collection of all the newer glocks!) take care an safe shoppin!
Dang, who had the beowulf brass? I'll have to look for him next time.ru934 wrote:picked up a new glock 26 for like 550.00(INCL night sights!!!) , 2- 50 round boxes of ranger 9mm +p ammo for 30.00, don humme(SP?) pocket holster$?$, 200 pieces beowulf brass 60.00(ccchhheeeaaapppp!!!!!!!!!!!) dang, writin this makes me want to go back up there right now.......just in case, i have a fairly new para ordnance ltc 1911 stainless .45 an maybe a fn herstal 5-7 i might list in a lil bit if anyones intrested
it was an older man, maybe n his 70's. had about 3 tables set out, didnt have a sign or name or anything like that. had a whole lotta corroded junk brass. only thing good was the beowulf brass, some 500 S&W brass, an a small bag or two of 300 or 338 brass(from what i can rem.). i think ive seen him ONCE at the goerge r brown show. he did take visa, so soon as it shows up on my statement ill shoot you a p.m. with his name

Just for clarification, you were not able to buy any guns, because no funds or some legal restrictions on weapons purchases? I know the Dem. are trying to limit us but I don't know of no other limits on gun purchases so I'm sure your just out of funds. Whew... for a moment I wass getting parinoid! Have a good oneRugrash wrote: Since I just bought a rifle recently I wasn't able to buy any firearms this weekend

Re: Post your Reliant Center deals from this weekend
It's purely a financial reason. I bought a Remington 700 LTR in .308, ARMS 22M mounts, SWFA 16x Super Sniper and a Harris Bipod. So that's about all I can get by the wife this month :-) I was eying a Kimber Tactical Pro II at the show. I need to set up a separate slush fund account.MadDawg wrote:Just for clarification, you were not able to buy any guns, because no funds or some legal restrictions on weapons purchases? Even when I lived in MD (2000 - 2005) they had a law where you could only buy one gun a month, but if you filled out one extra form you could be designated a "Collector" and buy as many as you wanted. Thankfully TX doesn't have any limits. I just came across a .pdf of MD's new AWB...so I think the DEMs are getting ready for their next big push. I need another AR upper!!!

I was there to help a friend by a pistol.
"Nice deals on some Garands"
I saw several Garands with the lowest price one being $600 for a rack grade I could order from CMP for $395 to $800 for one that the seller said shoots straight and a couple for around $2000.00 which the seller said were collector grade. Other than that I walked every row and didn't see many Garands at all. Wish I had though.
