It would be a better president than Romney too and the Volvo probably doesn't veer left as much.

I'll support a green Martian if I thought it could beat Obama.
But I would like to really see some sort of Perry/Cain ticket. Cain has his 9 9 9 plan and Perry just released his flat tax proposal. Are these the absolutely perfect end all plans.. no not at all but at least they are giving real ideas to real reform of the busted progressive tax code.

God Bless America, and please hurry.

Seeing how much he does for the Texas public schools, he should at least want SOMEONE to get an actual education.mamabearCali wrote:great on homeschooling
Rep. Paul would do wonders for this country as President. I've been a fan of his long before I moved here.

...I think we're past thinking Perry has a chance...and a lot closer to the time when ALL the runners should line up every vote they can behind whoever's selected...4 more years of what we have now will make it all come undone...

Re: Ron Paul vs Rick Perry
I think that Perry still has a wonderful chance. History shows trailers in these debates made comebacks.
Newt was dead in the water months ago, and I mean dead. I don't want Newt, and I certainly don't want Ron Paul running this country.
He is a disaster when it comes to national defense. He is a fool on foreign affairs and is only spouting the same rhetoric that got Obama voted in. He is obsessed with blaming America and Americans for the reasoning of why these countries hate us. Obama did the same. It's not the Americans Mr. Paul but it just might be the maniacal and prehistoric animals that inhabit these countries.
In the late 1930's a country played the isolation game against a bully named Hitler. They sat on their thumbs and trusted a madman would not attack them. Deals were made and agreements were signed. Hitler waged a horrible attack on Great Britain less than a year later. A strong defense takes the battles and wars to the others land. We don't let innocent Americans die here on their soil.
In the early 1800's when the Berber Muslims were pirating and killing and bushwhacking American citizens and belongings, an infant Navy and Marine Corps were sent to North Africa to squash this unlawful and murderous clan. It is our history to project our strength against tyranny like this. I know he likes to quip we are not the worlds policeman, well we are not. We are the projectors of freedom and democracy. We don't do police work unless under the umbrella of the horrible UN.
Ron Paul last night openly accused two candidates last night on the Leno show of bigotry and discrimination. That is just how his campaign is run, smearing. He won't take credit for the newsletters and other campaign ads that bear his name and that is troublesome. Second, Ron Paul is not a Republican determined to take out Obama. He will not say that if he does not get the nomination he would support whomever the Republican candidate is. That is really scary. Is that a threat that he will take his base and run third party or tell them to stay at home? That's really what we need. Ron Paul is the Ross Perot of the 2000's.
So I still hold hope that Perry will get the nod.......but whomever it is, they will get my vote, even Paul. Obama must go.
I voted for Rick Perry in this poll.

The USMC was sent to the shores of Tripoli because they were attacking Americans. If they stuck to attacking each other, we would not have gotten involved. America should go back to that policy.
We should also have a similar policy about bailing out foreign countries. Until we pay off our own debt, it's wrong to go deeper into debt while bailing out other countries' debt. It's bad public policy and it borders on treason.

And in Europe, Germans were fighting French, Polish and English citizens, not Americans. Those are countries with our interests and they required our help. There are many countries run by maniacs that don't have anything to do with Americans. As civilized people do we turn a cold shoulder and not get involved?

...we're running out of time...instead of spending our energy tellin' folks about how bad a loser is, we'd better be tellin' folks(and LOTS of em) why our choice is so GOOD...and that's not happening...they're gonna keep up this infighting and bashing till the Dems win it again...if we don't wise up fast...

Re: Ron Paul vs Rick Perry
I agree six but the original question of the post is what we are having banter with. Our biggest threat is people NOT voting. Pre-candidate whacking and bashing is typical. But when the candidate is chosen if you choose to ignore your right you will be a fool. And don't think the liberal side won't try to exploit that. They will plant that seed in many a brain that your vote just doesn't matter. We are foolish to fall into that trap.
Re: Ron Paul vs Rick Perry
...absolutely!!!no throwaway or conscience votes for "the perfect candidate" who hasn't got a snowball's chance in August of winning this time...the #1 goal has to be to stop the bleeding...THEN we'll restore the airways...no sense in pouring our O2 out on the ground...no doubt the animal's already brain-dead...
Re: Ron Paul vs Rick Perry
Believing Democrats and Republicans are the only ones who can win is what got us where we are now.
Never again.
Never again.
