Post by papajohn1964 »

Just got a new Mossberg Maverick 88 for Christmas and now I am in the market for a folding stock preferably with recoil absorber on it. Any recommendations on brand and best place to purchase?

I just got 2 Phoenix kicklites for my mossbergs, one is the maverick. They are well made and bolted right up nice and tight. I got them off Amazon. Havent got to shoot them yet but they should do the trick. I also looked at the Blackhawk spec ops, but don't like how the stock rides back on the spring, there is a definate picnch point there. The Mako group also has a new one out, they make pretty good stuff too. Good luck.

Thanks! I just got the Phoenix Kicklite today and got it installed. Nice and easy install and it looks good and strong too. Now I just have to find a place and the time to go shoot it. I am kind of dissapointed that the forearm won't fit without buying another $60 worth of parts but the stock one isn't bad...
