that is ridiculous, i will definitely be hitting up my local starbucks on the 14th whether i want it or not. there needs to be a pro starbucks movement for that day amongst chl/nra members. something tells me that group would buy more than these anti gun sissys will avoid buying (they still sell black, lol).

I'd suggest people contact Starbucks and let them know we support their current policies. Right now, the Anti's are the only people who are speaking. We need to let them know we support their policies...and buy a cup of coffee.

Something sounds odd about this, 14 million people in an organization that I never heard about? Wonder why they aren't boycotting Wallyworld, afterall they are the ones actually selling guns and ammo.

I think they are already boycotting Wallyworld, and Academy, but no one has noticed. These boycotters are doing the businesses a favor by discouraging the dregs of the planet all the while encouraging the best people to their establishments... Every business should wish for this kind of a boycott, it could lead us out of the Great Obamian Recession.

Hmm, too bad Im out of town in FEB… otherwise I’d happily buy a 4Bucks coffee. Let me see how many of the 500,000 Army members I can reach though Army Times, AKO, Face Book, and internal web sites… this could be fun.. if the stock prices go up on the fateful day… it can be used to SLAM them and their rhetoric.

So, while cruising on Gun Victims Action Council web site, I found the call to action,, send an email to Starbucks..... So I did... :mrgreen:

Dear Star Bucks and Gun Victims Action Council: Thanks to this ignorant boycott presented and announced by Gun Victims Action Council, I will happily buy a cup of coffee from Starbucks, as well as encourage a few hundred thousand of my fellow military members to do the same, every day Gun Victims Action Council claims to have you boycotted, I pledge to buy a cup of coffee in one of your stores.
Assuming Gun Victims Action Council screens the email and does not send, or deletes my addition to their stock text.. I'll send a email directly as well.
And the best part?? I bet the web site steals my email address which was required, and starts spamming my account with their crap.. at which time I will send them a note to stop, of which they likely will ignore, then I send one to their IP reference the spamming one of their customers is doing, and the media attention I will bring to that IP host if their do not step in and prevent their customers from spamming..

Congratulations on being a responsible corporation, and not knuckling under to a biased misguided select group that believes personal wants, are more important than the rights of every citizen.
As you know all to well, legally carried guns in your stores have not been attributed to even a single incident of “Gun Violence” nation wide and as criminals do not by definition obey laws, signs, rules and corporation requests. Any corporation wide ban of guns in your stores would only affect citizens that are legally carrying a firearm, who pose no threat what so ever to your employees, customers or themselves.
Thank you for your un-politically correct, yet morally sound stand on this matter.

Respectfully
Erik Marquez

Exactly what I thought. Doesn't match up with FBI figures in my mind.

I don't patronize the place often but I have to remember to drop in on Valentine's Day.

Now all I need is a NRA wind-breaker to wear...

Cool I got an email from Gun Victims Action Council:
-----Original Message-----
From: NGAC [mailto:info@gunvictimsaction.org]

To: Marquez, Erik SGM MIL USA
Subject: Thank you for emailing Starbucks!

Dear Erik Marquez,

Thank you for emailing Starbucks and telling them you are outraged by their vigorous support of the NRA’s Pro-Gun Agenda.

We are gratified to know that starting on Valentine’s Day, you will be joining the Starbucks boycott called for by the National Gun Victims Action Council, a non-profit network of 14 million gun victims, survivors, their families, supporters, the faith community and millions of people who want sane gun laws. The boycott will end when Starbucks rejects the NRA’s Pro-Gun Agenda by banning all guns from their stores and becoming an Aggressive Corporate Advocate (ACA) for sane gun laws.

To keep up with all boycott activities, sign up for email updates:
http://gunvictimsaction.org/email-updates" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Download, print, and leave this flyer behind at Starbucks stores:
http://gunvictimsaction.org/starbucks-leave-behind" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To keep fully informed about critical gun violence issues, Like us on Facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/GunVictimsAction" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To multiply our effect, ask friends and family to send Starbucks an email. Forward this link:
http://gunvictimsaction.org/email-starbucks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

ONE FINAL NOTE: The NRA understands we are a real threat, one they have never faced before. They can/will spend unlimited funds (they have a $250 Million annual budget) to spread disinformation and challenge us in every way. We must keep building our Action Fund to defend against these attacks. To protect yourself and your loved ones, help support our important work! A donation of $50, $100 (any amount) or $5 per month will build our Action Fund to where it needs to be. You can do this by using this link: http://gunvictimsaction.org/donate" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Congratulations on being an advocate for sane gun laws, with your participation, we will get them!!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at: info@gunvictimsaction.org

I just sent them a note back.. wonder if they will respond? :mrgreen:

Dear NGAC.. Thank you for providing me an easy way to denounce your organization and inform Starbucks of my support to them. Your email tool, made that possible with ease.. I of course assumed you would continue the lies of your web posting with the deletion of my email though your system, so I sent a similar note directly to Starbucks.

Thanks to your nationwide announcement of this boycott, you have unwittingly caused what will be an overwhelming show of support for the corporation thanking them for taking a common sense approach to support a citizens' rights..

Additionally, your ignorance, or willful failure to realize, criminals do not obey laws, rules, or policies, and that any ban enacted, only effects honest law abiding citizens clearly shows the low mentality of your group.

Congratulations, you have bought about many thousands of new opponents to your organization..

On your behalf the following was sent to Starbucks corporate offices:

Dear Star Bucks and Gun Victims Action Council: Thanks to this ignorant boycott presented and announced by Gun Victims Action Council, I will happily buy a cup of coffee from Starbucks, as well as encourage a few hundred thousand of my fellow military members to do the same, every day Gun Victims Action Council claims to have Starbucks boycotted, I pledge to buy a cup of coffee in one of your stores.

As you all too well know, legally carried guns in your stores have not been attributed to even a single incident of “Gun Violence” and as criminals do not by definition obey laws, signs, rules and corporation requests. Any corporation wide ban would only affect citizens that are legally carrying a firearm, who pose no threat what so ever to your employees, customers or themselves.

So what they will be doing is assuming that any e-mail correspondence they receive is by default a vote for their support, as is apparent by their response above.

Hey Starbucks! We have had a gazillion supporters respond to our call for a boycott!

True, and also likely how they come about their “membership” numbers, number of hits to the web site, or some such nonsense.. That is one of the reasons I emailed Star bucks direct, and used the same text and name / email address. So they can, if interested, see that these twits are falsely station their position, membership and supporters to the boycott.

I got the same exact reply to my slightly differently worded email, so I suspect there is no intelligence behind the reply, just a 'bot or a brain dead human. I bet we are now part of that 14 million.

I you read their 14m claim carefully, you can bet it counts every hit they ever got, including those of us who went there to read their senseless maundering and try to reeducate them.
