So, Lupine, to help pass the time a bit, what do you plan on doing first to celebrate, once your plastic arrives?

Been running around with my holster on, gun in the car. Dry fire practice draws. Probably do my Wally walk and take wife to dinner in bad part of town (JK) ;-)

If you knew where the bad parts of town were going to be, on any given night, then we would not need to do what we do. Hope you and your wife have a fabulous, and uneventful, meal.

Thx Guys! Yeah I've been sitting in a Pizza Hut when 3 bg busted in with shotguns and robbed the place. Really scary part was that I knew the guy in next booth was an off-duty cop. I just took my cues from him and sat still.

Yeah, if you don't see what is coming soon enough to skeedaddle out of the side door, then follow your cop friend's unspoken advice. However...if the BGs start herding everyone towards the back room...figure out how to discreetly get that weapon ready to go.

I had no awareness at the time. Young and naive. Had my back to the door, sitting no where near alternate exit. Now my wife knows where to sit so we can observe and exit if needed.

Did time slow down? I know DPS is just working on my card and focusing on getting it to me right?

This creates an interesting question - how to fire at THREE BGs (assuming you have to do so). What would be your plan?

That's a really nasty situation. Three shotguns. I'm thinking if I HAD to fire, I would get close enough to do head shots on the first two, starting with the nearest. There probably wouldn't be time to do one on the farthest, so I would go for quick body shots to bring him down, possibly disorient him enough with the body shots to make an aimed head shot. But of course it all depends on position, distance, cover, etc. A Pizza Hut is a pretty big place, and has lots of nooks where a BG or GG could take cover, grab a customer for a hostage, etc.

Mailed! Have to say it was a faster process than I had hoped (even with a broken printer).
