it finally happened...my CHL arrived! :fire :thewave

my final time line is this:

12-27-11: Online App
12-29-11: FP at L1
01-07-12: CHL class at GSG
01-09-12: Mailed Packet
01-11-12: Packet Recieced
01-18-12: FP/BG under review
02-02-12: FP & BG Complete
02-02-12: Manufacturing Pending
02-03-12: Manufacturing (printer went down :cryin )
02-10-12: Mailed :anamatedbanana :thewave :party:

I hope nobody else has to go through manufacturing for a week...it will drive you crazy :banghead:

My suggestion to the DPS is email us our CHL as soon as the fingerprints and background are complete :woohoo

Hahahahahaha! I know exactly what you mean! When I first got into this, and after I had bought my XDm .45, but before I took my course...whew, I used to put on my holster, late at night, put my .45 in it, and then sit around reading Ayoob's seminal manual, or one of Chris Bird's inspiring tomes. (Is it legal to use that many commas in one sentence?) I felt a little mischevious and daring in doing so. My how times have changed!

Man, I remember when I went through "the wait"... it was an eternity. I checked every day. I like to drop by the waiting room..it assures me I wasn't obsessed HAHA. It was exciting to go through the wait..Just get the instruction, put your time in at the range and CARRY EVERY DAY!!! :)
