Sig P238 carry?

#1

Post by Craig8d8 »

Just bought a new Sig P238 and I'm looking for carry options and opinions. I do not want to mainly pocket carry as for mine are usually full.....wallet, keys, phone, knife, Chapstick and an extra mag. Ive looked around and can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm a big fan of BROWN(lol) leather. No clue why I don't like kydex or black leather but I've just never been a fan. Anyways thanks in advance for your input!!

This is what I use:

Very nice holsters.

Try this:

http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPG3.asp?P ... &GunID=502" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The P238 rides in my pocket just fine.

I have to admit, I'm a big fan of fanny paks, and I just happen to be carrying my P238 in one as I type this.

I will second DM Bullard...

I use this one at 1:00

Its easy to carry and takes about two seconds to strap on. I tried carrying it SOB, but the clip part kept scratching my leather seats. 1:00 works well for me, especially if you are wearing an undershirt.

Bullard makes good stuff.

Check High Noon Holsters also if you like more of a raw unstained brown leather look.

I carry a P238 or a HK P2000SK - I use the Crossbreed for both. I've tried a bunch, this thing rocks.

I dont really like IWB, and few of my shirts will cover a standard holster, though I do love them, I carry the 238 in the Sneaky Pete.

When people ask what it is, I say, "it's a medical device" because someday it may save my life.

Just make sure you can pull it quickly and when your fine motor skills have diminished. I pocket carried in front pocket in a Desantis Nemesis until I actually needed to pull it this past year. Taught me the importance of accessible holster.

Never heard of the Sneaky Pete before. Looks very interesting, and might be a perfect solution for me. How easy is it to get a good grip on the pistol while in the holster?

I love our little Sig but dear wife is usually carrying it ;-) . It is so small that IWB in normal size pants is possible with just about any holster you buy. DW likes the Remora clipless holster, I like the Talontraining IWB model (what I'm wearing at the moment.) What a great little handgun - I wish I had one  .

Hmm, don't know why that would be. The Bullard is IWB and works just fine in normal pants.

Not sure what a sneaky pete is. I carry my XD45C in a DeSantis Sof-Tuck, and like it very much. I just ordered one for my wife's P238... $27 or so.
