The bickering and derogatory, inflammatory remarks from one supposed 2nd amendment supporter to others that clearly are . simply amazes me here in this forum. :grumble
For real??? So asking why a person would feel the need to carry a weapon in the trunk is somehow inflammatory? Really??? Wow... I disagree. One should never feel threatened by questions that may challenge a belief. One should see it as an opportunity to sell their position. :tiphat:

I also did not see any post that gives the impression anyone posting on this thread is anything other than a supporter of the 2nd admendment.

No sir it's not, and if that is what had been done in a polite manner, respectable, I would not have posted what i did.

I would hope the group could get back on topic and discuss that :cheers2:

When I get home I'll be installing two more carbine mounts in my new car... as it's the same basic body style as my 05.. I can take that experience and go from there. I'll post pictures perhaps then. :thumbs2:

Just put an AK in the foot well of the front passenger seat. Cover it with a cloth before you leave the car.

BTW, we all missing a critically important fact: The introduction of "body armor" by the BG tilted the situation in favor of the BG. Body armor made that the only effective shot was to the back of the head.

Everyone pistol toting person is trained to shoot at center of mass of BG, but the this would get the get the shooter killed if the BG was wearing a body armor and returned fire. Is this a good lesson?

Since the AR pistol I'm building isn't really practical for CC'ing, I'm thinking about using it as my car gun for the interior. Quick access and manuverable. A regular carbine could go in the trunk. I'm interested in your pics, I want to do the same when i get home as well :D

I'm out of the fight as soon as:
1) me and mines are no longer in danger AND
2) LE is on site

If there is an active situation like Tyler, once LEO are on site, I'm prepared to be treated like a criminal (lie down, surrender my firearm, put on shiny bracelets) and let them sort it out. I wouldn't fight alongside the LEOs unless they were clearly being overwhelmed and they knew which side I was on. No need to take friendly fire for being mistaken as the BG.

I wish the courageous CHLer who intervened had a rifle and had used it from his apartment. From what I remember, he did get quality center mass shots but the BG was wearing a flak jacket. . . in the video it shows the LEO had to shoot the BG in the back of the head to stop him.

Some people think a micro 32 is enough.
Some people think a six shot 38 is enough.
Some people think a ten shot pocket auto in 9/40 is enough.
Some people think an 8 shot 45 is enough.
Some people want a 12+ shot 45 or 15+ shot 9.
Some people want a carbine or a shotgun in their vehicle.

Some people think those earlier on the list are unprepared and those later on the list are paranoid.
