Looks alright. Just a few questions. Do you already have the tooling? If you not then you will need to budget a few things in. Also why all the rails? It is your rifle and you can do what you wish but I'd be willing to bet you don't need all that real estate and while rails make you rifle tacticool they are uncomfortable and server no purpose for most folks. Personally I'd just get either a VTAC or Magpul MOE handguard. Either one of those choices will get the ability to add rails where you need them and you will have a much more comfortable surface to grip. Finally is the barrel chrome lined? If not I might look at Daniel Defense. They have a nice 7 twist chrome lined barrel for a good price.

Thanks, i'll take your advice. I needed a second look at it, and it was too much. I just liked the look. For the barrel, i'm trying to find one for .223 and not have a gas block or front sight. For the handguards i'll look into it.

For the tools--I do not have, but i have a friends friend who builds ARs in his garage, and he was helpling me with AR. So either through him or gunsmith.. And the barrel i am not sure if it is..I am trying the link to the site and its not working. So i am sorry about that, i'll reupdate the barrel site when I can. I don't have the time at the moment, but does the Magpul MOE handguard able to supprt tact. light? I'll look into DD barrel too.
Thanks.

You won't be shooting semi-auto if you do not have a gas block. It's what cycles the gun.

If you mean you don't want the large front sight base and gas block sticking out from the front, then you need to look for a low profile gas block.

ETRA: Looks like I missed it in your parts list...you have the low-pro GB there already.

How do you intend on the action cycling with no gas block?

You did...and I edited my comment before your reply. I think the remark about not wanting a gas block threw GigAg and I off a bit.

I wanted folding sights..There is a Troy folding sight w/ gas block, but it cost $213..I actually did they math and it would be cheaper to buy the gas block and get 2 folding sights. Instead of folding sight w/ gas block.
Yep i over read your comment.

I'm going to change my guardrail, and I'm going to still look for a barrel.

If you are buying from Brownell's, you're paying too much, every one of those parts is cheaper on Midway and they offer cheaper shipping and coupons. The upper parts kit you picked out has a delta ring assemble and barrel nut, you do not need those with the Troy, it comes with its own. On a personal note; I would skip the railed gas block, get a $25 YHM lo-pro block, and run a mid or rifle-length quad rail.

have you looked at picking up a completed upper, and building the lower yourself? I did this the first couple of builds I did and I was happy doing it that way. As I learned more, I built the uppers.

You can build a great rifle for under $900. I have used JSE quite a bit.

Yes you are right about brownells..I'll do a recheck on the items again. The reason I got that gas block..Ok i was using ar15builder.com and when i chose other gas blocks, they were uneven with the upper receiver and were lower. For the gas tube, yeah i just realized i didnt have that. I am accepting all adivce from everyone. I have looked at a completed upper but wasn't finding what I liked.
