My wife has hidden my license until I clean out the garage. I'm very sad. :rules:





Online Application filled out on 2/19/2012.

CHL class completed on 2/23/2012.

Packet mailed on 2/24/2012 by instructor. Unconfirmed.

L1 Fingerprinting on 2/27/2012

As of today, March 15, 2012, TX DPS website displays message '"Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."

Update: As of March 17, 2012, TX DPS website displays new message

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Update March 30th:

No change. Boo!

It took mine about two weeks before the DPS site updated after I mailed my packet on the same days I went to L1. Give it time it'll update, until then your fingers might get sore repeatedly logging in to look!! Good luck!! :thumbs2:

It took 24 days after I mailed mine in for the status to change. Seemed like forever. Hopefully it wont take that long to do the background check.

it took mine 12 or 13 days after mailing (Tues 2/21/12) before the first update (Sun 3/4/12). no updates since then :waiting:

I received an email response that documents are evaluated first before being entered into the system for processing. The current evaluation time is 3 to 4 Weeks. Happy happy joy joy....the wait continues. :banghead:

Mailed package on Feb. 16th. Never saw the manufacturing pending, since I haven't checked the DPS site often. Before today last time I checked the background check was being done. Today the status is manufacturing.
I'll be waiting on the mail to arrive at site and in my mailbox. :woohoo
