I don't know...seems more like something you would encounter in a Chevy Chase movie.

Now that there's funny.

Wow, everyone here is so quick to judge. I would hate to act goofy around you guys. :biggrinjester:
The guy's pistol handling skills isn't great. Maybe he's a self taught youtube junkie. I'm sure all of us have been there at one point in time in our life. At least he has good intentions.

Maybe. :headscratch

oh ye who is without sin, cast the first stone.....

I met Ryk and I liked the guy. He grew up in rural Finland (and Finns are different). Some of his gun handling is not quite up to modern competitive practice but I never saw him INTENTIONALLY muzzle anyone and the only time I saw him violate rule 2 was for set up photo ops.

Yes it is a 50AE but he is a big guy and it actually makes the gun look normal sized in his hands.

Yup he is a car salesman but I would not hesitate to buy a car from him because he impressed me as honest and straight forward. As a salesman, he is going to use anything he can to get his name (and his dealership's name) in as many peoples thoughts as possible to maximize his chances of making a sale. How is this different from a sport star opening/working for a car dealership?

is he the perfect spokesperson for gun ownership? Not when we have people like Julie Golob, BJ Norris, Alice Tripp and Charles Cotton. But he is mainstreet America and although some of the anti's smear image(redneck crackers with more guns and ammo than brains or teeth) are applicable to him, most people would not have any problem with him as a neighbor. He does have honor, and does what he thinks is right. He feels a sense of duty toward his community and will enter danger to protect those around him who can't protect themselves.

There used to be a lot of complainers in the shooting community who griped about Ted Nugent because he was almost the antithesis of Charlton Heston as a gun advocate. I was always reminded of MLK's comment about Malcom X's tactics/antics hurting the Civil rights movement when he said "Malcom and I do not agree on methods but stand side by side in goals. And the white people in power are so GLAD to talk to me after dealing with him."
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

:iagree: VERY well said. Thanks.

Food for thought...

Do you actually feel this guy is an idiot or are you more worried about how his behavior will reflect upon you in the eyes of those who would oppose private gun ownership?

Suggestion: Embrace those that have the same heart and sense of honor as you. Their methods may not be yours, but that does not make them less, only different. Educate, don't ostracize.

I was referring to the barrel opening. It looks smaller than a 50. All desert eagle frames are the same size.

Looks like Keating Chevy is back in the news. The "hero" owner/sale manager has a warrant out stemming from allegations of sexual assault of a child.

"A damsel in distress? Not on my watch."

Unless you are a 16 year old female I can pay $500.00 for sex.

Caveat that he has only been charged and not convicted.

"A serious charge of sexual assault of a child has police looking for Melartin. "

Are there "humorous" sexual assault of a child charges?

Anyone ever talk to this guy? He can't be for real. This has got to be a joke.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

I dont think that is the 50. I compared to mine and his looks more like the .44.
Either way he sure doesn't know how to control it.

As a marketing professional (former corporate life)
I can tell you the thought was good for a moment (trying to capitalize on pro gun customers)
but in reality a really dumb idea.
Be without fear in the face of your enemies.

Speak the truth always even if it means your death.
Protect the helpless and do no wrong!

I'm still impressed by the light up neon address sign on his house. Who thinks about something like that.
