Plastic Lost in Mail!

#1

Post by chaz »

Anyone have their plastic lost in the mail? According the tech at DPS, mine was mailed last Thurday, March 1. I'm in Austin so it should be here by now. Just wondering if anyone ever had this happen and what's the procedure. I can see this turning my 85 days into who knows how long. AAAAGGGHHHH

I have had mail sent to me from the same town go via Arkansas before and take a week. Hopefully, it will be there soon.

I asked a similar question regarding my packet, and after talking to Janice, she said they might be off 3 days till when it really went out

Hi Bill,

Did Janice explain any further? How long did it take for your plastic to finally arrive? I guess I could see how it could take a few days to be sent to a mail room, postage metered and then sent out.

I was for my packet, it arrived in about a total of 6 days after I spoke with her. I would look for it by Friday at the latest

Back in January I applied for my CHL online. 2 weeks after I applied my packet & pin still hadnt arrived so I called and they told me it had been mailed on January 26th and sent a new one, which arrived 4 days later.
When I checked my mail Saturday I got a good laugh when I opened the mailbox: sitting there among the mail was the 1st packet DPS had sent, postmarked January 27, 2007 - 35 DAYS LATER!! so don't panic yet, it may still show
