I just found out I got into the June 18-22 instructor's class. Anybody else in this class? Anybody else going to be coming from Houston?

I'm a night creature. I get to looking up stuff on guns and cruising my favorite forums and end up staying up wayyy tooo late.

You will really enjoy the class!!

It is a very informative and enjoyable time. They will teach you the statutes and give you 'real world' views of how things may potentially be interpreted. Lots of good info and a great network to talk to other CHL Instructor candidates, share views, ideas and opinions.

And of course, the best time is Friday on the really nice DPS range. I have started a change jar to get my funding going to build one like it someday.

Me and my Dad will be in the class on the 18th. Coming from League City. I also have a buddy from junior high/high school graduating as a Trooper that Friday. Me and him went to Marine Corps boot camp together. Big week for us I guess.

Oh yeah this is my first post. Glad to be on the forum. Seems like good people here. I apologize in advance if accidentally break a rule here or go against the norms. I've never used a forum before except to read them for information. I have read the rules here and pretty much understand everything or so I hope.

I am so stressed out about the 90% score on the shooting test. I suck at shooting from 15 yards. I am trying to blame it on the fact that I have a hard time with depth perception. My revolver I do pretty good with but my 9 mm is the problem. I am sure I will do fine I just hate any sort of test. I took my insurance license test earlier this year and I was so super stressed out about it and I passed the first time. I wish we could do the shooting test the first day so I don't stress out all week.
