Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises
Same, what i heard was this idiotic phrase, "...he didnt have a hunting license or a concealed handgun permit, but STILL had (enter weapons here)" As if you need a hunting or permit to own those weapons. FOX should screen their interviewees.jerry_r60 wrote:JJVP wrote:One thing I have not seen or heard anywhere is the term "assault rifle". I would think that if he had used an AK-47 or AR-15, the media and all the usual suspects would be jumping all over for an "assault rifle" ban. No mention of high capacity magazines either. Strange.
I did hear the assault rifle phrase used on news coverage. It was also announced that he was carrying an AR-15, a Remington 870 shotgun and 2 glock 40 cal. It was a bit unclear and reported differently by different people but the way I understood it was that he had at least all but 1 of the glocks, which was in his car.
I heard an phrase that made me cringe from a Fed on the Fox news report. I think they said he was from Homeland Security and I thought he had the "R" (republican) in front of his name. He made a comment along the lines of "we'll need to look into why he was able to have such a large cache of weapons". That idea didn't thrill me. In the context, I understood him to be talking about why this guy was able to own "so many guns".

BTW, The "ban guns" people are all over the blogs wanting gun laws... I knew that rhetoric would be brought up.
Any sign in Colorado is unenforceable unless it is on an already prohibited locaiton. Any busines sopen to the public must tell you to leave and you must refuse before you are breaking the law.
Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises
In addition to everything else that has been said about the perfect trap he set for his poor victims; he apparently entered through an emergency exit. These are usually at the front. It probably was a packed house. Thus he could begin killing immediately. Any CHL would have either been killed immediately up front or was further back. They would then have to dodge fleeing patrons to get closer, or shoot through them in the dark. All would be very difficult.
I thought with body armor a shot to the legs would not kill him but would slow him down.
However with his full protection, that doesn't work.
I liked it better when they took there own lives at the end. Now we have had three where they want be at their trial.

Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises
Has anyone read or heard WHY he stopped? Did he run out of ammo? Just decide he was done?
Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises
This guy was intelligent. He had been working on his PhD at a medical school in Colorado before dropping out. Sounds like another one of those who may have cracked under pressure and decided to leave his mark on society in a bad way.

What does everyone think? The libtard news media is already bringing up metal detectors for theaters!!! And not one person has pointed out the fact that a metal detector would have done nothing to keep that rifle out of the theater!!! This crap enrages me!!!

Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises
What amazes me is that the Chief of Police of the City does not know the difference between an AR15 Semi-Auto Carbine and a M16 Select Fire Assault Rifle!
Hint.......AR = Armalite Rifle NOT Assault Rifle!
