Cruz. Very few incumbents getting my vote this year. Ok, Dewhurst isn't the incumbent but he is a career politician, time to give another Republican a chance.
Is anyone else upset by the negativity of this campaign? We take enough abuse from the dem's without beating ourselves bloody. What ever happened to Reagan's 13th commandment?

Yep. All this "Cruz was a lawyer that represented........blah blah blah" turned me off. Agree or disagree with his clients, in this country everyone should have a lawyer.CowboyEngineer wrote: Is anyone else upset by the negativity of this campaign? I voted early for Cruz.

Went to the polls this morning at about 10:30 AM
They had two tables, one on each end of the room. The left hand table had two poll workers, one judge, the table with a handwritten sign saying "DEM". The table at the other had a sign "REP", again with two workers, one judge.
The people at the left table had nothing to do and looked bored. The right table had a line of about 10 people signing in and two people at the electronic voting machines, another using a manual ballot.
It was mentioned that there had been very few people at the left table, and the right table had been busy since opening.
For today, things are looking up.

If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

Cruz, Campbell, and Craddick got my vote today.
Fingers crossed, but I think a runoff was what Cruz needed...turnouts are usually much lower, and the folks who appear to be the most energized are the Cruz supporters.
Talking with a handfull of people today...not one said they voted for Dewhurst. Some went for Wentworth! But hey...you can't win them all.

I have a problem with career politicians. Our country needs fresh blood.
Cruz.
Cruz.

Had to vote for the Dew. Not sure Cruz would help Senator John get a powerful WIP position in the Senate and be good for Texas. Afraid Cruz would support some Carolinas' Tea partier.

Re: Time Is Running Out...Update on pg 2, post 21
I had planned to vote for Cruz and Stockton. However, when I got to the new consolidate poling place this afternoon around 1PM, the line was out the door and down the side of the building. I went back just before 6 and the line was now out the door, down the side of the building and then looped back to the front door (45+ minute wait). Whoever decided they needed to consolidate all of Clear Lake to a single location is crazy. Between that and the 8 to 9 robo calls I have been receiving a night, I decided a pox on all their houses.
Thanks,
Rich

Results:
http://enr.sos.state.tx.us/enr/results/july31_162.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Early, but Cruz is up 52% to 47%.
ETA: Denton County EV totals: Cruz 8719, Dew 5428 (62-38)
From Twitter: @tedcruz sweeps the four big NTX counties that Dewhurst needed to win or run very strong. Denton County goes to @tedcruz 62-38.
Another: Looking bad for @DavidHDewhurst in critical north TX: Collin County goes strong for Cruz, 60-40.

Cruz....
The last nasty ad I could stand was the lady talking about her son's life only being worth $500, and "how could Cruz sleep at night."
Her son's unfortunate mental illness has zip to do with this race....

I'd almost bet David's last commercial got more out of the undecided pool to be Cruz voterssteveincowtown wrote:Cruz....

I was already voting for Cruz but I found that ad to be in very poor taste. Sad, sad exploitation of that lady's grief.steveincowtown wrote:Cruz....
