Re: Introduce yourself
Hello Everyone,
My name is Ryan and I'm new to the forum (actually never joined any forum before but this seams like a good one). I just wanted to start out with an intro.
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Hail From: NY (S. of Buffalo)
Lived: All Over (NY, NM, TX and 10 Yrs Italy, 1 Yr Rep. South Korea)
Current Location: Ft Worth
Profession: Military AD (USAF 17+ Yrs)
Side Business: Firearms Instructor
Education: Wrapping up BA in Criminal Justice & bull in Professional Aeronautics next fall
Marital: Married (wife is Italian)
CHL: 9 Yrs Ago New Mexico, 9 Yrs Ago (Current) Florida, 4 Yrs Ago (Current) New York, 2 Yrs Ago (Current) TX, 1 Yr Ago (Current) TX CHL Inst.
TXHR: 99
Carry Equipment: I won't get into the 'caliber' or 'make' discussions/arguments that are out there. I look at things as picking the right tool for the the job at hand. It all depends on what I'm doing...
Primary Equipment: XDm 9mm
I grew up in NY State (don't hold that against me), but got to TX as fast as I could as they say :). Grew up hunting/fishing/reloading/etc. I love the Ft Worth area and my wife and I hope we can stay put for a while (long term actually). I am studying and pursuing a career in Law Enforcement for when I wrap up my current commitments. Working on wrapping up two bachelors and as many certifications as I can. I am an NRA Inst. (every discipline except muzzle-loaders), TX CHL Inst. and also teach various tactical courses when I can. I also teach Refuse to be a Victim courses and will be teaching CPR/AED courses as well. I am also working on getting my TX PSB LVL IV in the next couple months and some Exec. Protection courses thereafter.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
Regards,
Ryan

Been there and done that. I'm willing to bet, from looking at the video, that you got a little oil or sand under the tire and at max lean simply rode off the edge of the front tire and washing it out from under yourself. That one was pretty small potatoes. I did one like that, but at 60 mph on a mountain road. Bent her over into a turn, caught a wisp of sand under the front tire at max lean and found myself sliding off onto the shoulder on my back. Fortunately was wearing a full set of racing leathers. Pretty embarrassing though as the first vehicle to stop and render aid was the last guy I had passed a mile or so earlier, and had to listen to his "I told you so" comments.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello all! I've been pretty active on most of the larger forums over the years. Many may know me from some of those. Decided to join this forum after finding it a few days ago. CHL is an important right IMO. I own and collect many brands and types of guns. Just like good quality guns. Happily married and getting quite a large number of grandkids that are a blast. Been retired for quite a few years now and enjoy gardening and yard work. Just wish we would be rid of all this 100* heat and no rain. Kinda hard to make things look good when it's all you can do to keep them alive.

Re: Introduce yourself
I've been a lurker here since before I relocated from OK to TX this year. Thought I should register and post.
Also wanted to put a shout out to Howdy!
Looking forward to getting my CHL in TX since my OK license has been terminated.
