My best friend of almost 18 years was euthanized July 13, 2009.

I haven't yet brought myself to consider another.

God Bless you, Jim.

Jim, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how tough these times of sorrow are as I have been there 3 times in the last few years and have another one not far in the future. All I can say is to remember the times you had together and look forward to the day when you see him again.

Saying goodbye is always so hard but I truly believe you will see your friend again. I had to say goodbye to one of mine a few months back. A huge English Mastiff more gentle than a lamb. I still miss her. She had the most beautiful yodeling voice whenever a siren could be heard. It was not howling, but singing in a lilting voice that rose and fell like some haunting celtic hymn. Everyone would stop to listen to this astounding delicate sound coming from this big dog. Beautiful. Now every time I hear a siren and her voice is not heard too, I am reminded of the many ways she enriched my life. May your memories bring you comfort too and time heal your hurt.

A little long but good.
There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are tests.
