I thoroughly enjoyed this one - still action-packed, but with great character development ... Rick Grimes don't take no prisoners ;-) .... just brutal

YEAH... I love a "take no prisoners" Rick!!! I like the fact that the boy is turning a bit sadistic as well. :reddevil

Great comparison in this article of TWD to Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven" - both transcended their respective genres by giving their respective gunslinging heroes a tortured soul

another good episode, finally covering some new ground!

Thoughts that come to mind: Captain hook, preserved heads from futurama (the cartoon), and also what the heck is up with wearing your holster on the weak side for a very very long cross draw? It doesn't even look cool or tough, it just looked stupid.

I made the decision a few seasons ago to try my best to ignore the fifty shot revolvers and one thousand round machine guns...LOL. Now we have no sights and the weirdest form of carry I have yet to witness. I am driven buggy by watching ricks Colt Python swinging away from his body as he walks around. You would think that thing would snag on a passing zombie. LOL.

Next thing you know they'll be fixing neon green bayonet knives to their pistols...

So I guess he killed those soldiers because he wanted their gear but not them?

Yes. More stuff, less mouths to feed than if he took them in.

And I suspect he may have been worried about soldiers challenging his leadership ... or as others might say:

Also, they were clearly people who would not respect a leader who uses their holster backwards. So they had to go.
