Current Status: Background Check Under Review / since 11/3.
I am concerned that my fingerprints have a yellow exclamation next to them on the status page.
I am concerned because when the kid took my prints I remember the computer had issues with one finger. I asked about it and I believe he said the computer passed the overall scan.
My question is... Did your prints get the OK on the DPS status page immedately upon "Background Check Under Review" or did your prints get accepted later in the process?
I hope I don't have to redo prints.
Appreciate the feedback!

Re: Should I worry?
You will probably get a letter in the next few days from DPS explaining the problem with your fingerprints and what to do to correct it. You will not be required to pay again if your prints were unacceptable. It should not delay you much either as that is sent immediately. The background check by far is the longest period, taking about 3 weeks.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

Re: Should I worry?
There was a yellow exclamation point next to my fingerprints as well, should be nothing to worry about because it went to green as soon as my background check was completed. Also I don't know if they are starting to get bogged down with new applications over there at the DPS but the background check took a very long time to complete (almost 7 weeks to complete). My timeline so far is:
9/7- Application submitted
9/9-Class taken
9/11- Fingerprints done and packet mailed
9/13- DPS received packet
9/29- First website update showing information received and BG under review
11/14- BG complete/Manufacture pending

I suspect you're just fine, the yellow triangle simply means that your Background Review isn't complete.McKinney Resident wrote:Current Status: Background Check Under Review / since 11/3.

I stayed in Background Review for nearly 3 weeks (with the yellow triangle) before there was any movement in status.

Re: Should I worry?
They should get rid of the exclamation point and turn the triangle upside down. Then it will look like a caution sign instead of an error message.
