ive waited "patiently" this long...
ok...so i was told by the DPS when i called to bug them that yesterday (11/26/12) was the last day that they had to finish "reviewing" my application so of course i checked it about 20 times yesterday and finally gave up...today at this time (0713 central) it is still "under review" so they are a day overdue and im extrememly frustrated as they also did not admit to having all my stuff untill 12 days after they actually received it all! (i had USPS delivery confirmation) so now that ive been creeping on this forum for almost 5 months now ive finally given in and am now ranting..
any advice? other than shut the heck up and quit cryin? lol

Re: ive waited "patiently" this long...
it is normal that it takes about 2 weeks for materials to "show up" at their facility, even when you have a postal receipt saying it delivered 12 days earlier. it is a shame it cant be accurate, but it is the same for all.
As far as it being 5 months, that is a bit nuts.
Did you have any letters mailed to you saying they needed more info any time during this 5 months?
Have you talked to a supervisor?

Keep in mind that the online status is manually adjusted--it isn't something that happens automatically as your application flows through the process--and the online status is adjusted, based on anecdotal evidence, somewhat s l o w l y.
If you've been reading the board, you know it isn't uncommon for people to receive plastic in the mail before the online status changes to "mailed." Or for the application packet to be in the DPS office a week or two before the status shows it was received.
From what I gather, yesterday was day 60 of your wait. I'd cut DPS a little slack for the Thanksgiving holiday, and wait a few more days before calling them back. If the status hasn't changed as of Friday, then give 'em a call.

I don't know why you're still waiting because I don't know what DPS knows. I do know if they haven't issued it by now, you have the right to appeal.ckuykendall2 wrote:alright guys...been almost a month since i posted this...still no CHL!!!!!!!! ive been put on hold(for excruciating periods of time),transferred and told to be patient for long enough!! anyone have any advice? ive got no clue whats going on...they say they have everything they need..so why am i still waiting?

What Panzer Possum said. If you want your CHL, it's time to file an appeal because they denied your application.ckuykendall2 wrote:ok...so i was told by the DPS when i called to bug them that yesterday (11/26/12) was the last day that they had to finish "reviewing" my application so of course i checked it about 20 times yesterday and finally gave up...today at this time (0713 central) it is still "under review" so they are a day overdue and im extrememly frustrated as they also did not admit to having all my stuff untill 12 days after they actually received it all!
