Re: WTB XDS
As of this minute, the site quoted above states that the XDS is out of stock - what a surprise.
No one seems to have these. I want one badly. I've had salty1 of North Texas Arms trying to get one
for me since 11/19/12. It's been almost a month and he hasn't found one yet.
If anyone can find an XDS "IN STOCK" somewhere, please post it on this thread and/or PM me.
TIA / SIA

I don't know if this will help either of you but it looks like grabagun.com has XDS in stock for $522.98. If you're in the area, they are in Coppell. Good luck in the hunt.

Re: WTB XDS
In the last 2 weeks, I saw XDS in stock at Academy (League City) and The Arms Room .
This does NOT mean they are in stock today, but from talking to the staff at both, they had them for 4-5 days, which tells me that the real big push on them has slowed, so more should start to show up on the shelves at various stores.

I saw one at Gander in Houston on 290 a few days ago. I don't know if its still there but they had the price at $600 and wanted to see if I could find a better deal. I will keep an eye on Slickguns because if that 459 comes up again I'm buying from there.

Thank you so much for the lead above. Although I live next door in Lewisville, I had never heard of this place.urnoodle wrote:I don't know if this will help either of you but it looks like grabagun.com has XDS in stock for $522.98. If you're in the area, they are in Coppell. Good luck in the hunt.
They list their physical address, so I guess they have a bricks and mortar presence where pickups can be made.
Since they are only open Monday-Friday, 930-5, I just sent them an email, asking if they have one in stock.
If so, I will pick it up Monday, 12/17.
Wish me luck!!

Re: WTB XDS
Oh, happy day! Yes, it did work out for me. I picked up my new all-black XDS in Coppell
this afternoon at Grab a Gun. Only $522.98 + tax = $566.13 out the door.
The gun comes with 2 mags, both of which are the 5 round style.
The store has factory Springfield Armory 7 round mags for $35 each if you have cash.
I bought 1 of these and will probably get another later.
I inserted the empty 7 rounder into the pistol and repeatedly hit the mag release button.
What a beautiful, quick ejection resulted each time. The mechanism works wonderfully.
Since I didn't have much .45 on hand, I spent $189 on
4 different styles of JHP: 165 grain, 185 grain, and 2 brands of 230 grain.
I also bought 3 different brands of 230 grain FMJ.
These 7 different styles of rounds will be given a workout at such time that I can get to the range.
I also picked up another Size 4 Blackhawk pocket holster. The Ruger will sit in one, the XDS in the
other. Once I get to the range to run the XDS through its paces, I will pack both onbody.
The XDS also fits nicely into my Bianchi CarryLok 82 OWB, which has worked with my Taurus PT-111
and my Ruger SR9C.
For anyone who wants an XDS, Grab a Gun in Coppell has both all black and bitones in stock.
If you are close by, you can pick them up at the shop. If you are too far away, they will send
it to your FFL.
Since XDS's have been somewhat hard to find, I was rather surprised that the documentation
with my gun indicated that the gun had been made in January, 2012. How did it go almost
a year without being sold?
I'm as happy as a witch in a broom factory with my purchase. Since it's a Springer, I don't
anticipate much break-in, or any negative issues.
Since I will soon be carrying both the SR9c and the XDS, I am pondering a heavy philosopical
question:
Is the BUG the smaller caliber gun (SR9c) or the smaller round count gun (XDS) ???? :-)
Kudos to urnoodle for his lead that fixed me up with my XDS. I thank you sir.

Darn it - I gambled that you were a guy. My guess is 98% of the commenters are of the male persuasion here.urnoodle wrote:You're welcome SIA. I'm glad it worked out for you. I guess I should say...I'm a woman . No harm no foul.
Kudos to urnoodle for HER lead that fixed me up with my XDS. I thank you KIND LADY.
