I posted this on another thread, but I was in Academy in North Richland Hills about 4:00PM today. They were selling their last AR-15 and their last two PMAGS.

I asked the clerk if they were getting anymore in. He said they had one more truck before Christmas and it would be in tomorrow or Thursday. He knew they had some firearms coming in, but he did not know if there were anymore AR's.

I'd like to see a gun business proclaim "AR-15s and 5.56 ammo sold here!" I think that would get them plenty of loyal customers who's no buy lists are growing. I hope Academy doesn't fold since I got there a lot, but if they do then not one more penny.

This is insane, and exactly how they wanted it.

This is truly INSANE! Didn't the shooter use two HANDGUNS and NOT use the AR15?

I think it is people buying out of fear plus Christmas. I think after Christmas and everyone stops acting on emotions it will go right back to where it was.

After saying that it is definitely time to make sure we remember to support he NRA as well as calling our Representatives.

Academy, Dick's, Walmart pulling AR's from the shelves. I've seen price gouging across the internet this evening. I'm not in need of much right now but I'm serving as a sales-agent for a few buddies who are panic-buying (previously not AR owners). I believe the panic will die down, but one more AR owner for any reason is a good thing.

Midway USA has kept prices steady on their High-cap magazines. Shows you who is actually looking out for the gun-community and who is out to make a quick buck, or roll over to the media storm that's been going on.

That's what I've been telling myself as well, but the urge to go buy a pile of ammo is hard to resist right now. Granted, that urge is always there. ;-)

I have some buddies that have been putting off building an AR for various reason. Well, just tonight they were all able to order stripped lowers and LPKs for a $220 plus shipping. Not the prices they could have gotten a few weeks ago, but not ridiculous.
Aero Precision Lower: $99
PSA Magpul Moe LPK: $120

I was at Academy (Webster) earlier today and they only had a few AR's left. Sold one of the last ones while I was there. The gun area was full of people buying guns and ammo.

I was at Academy (Webster also) at 7pm tonight

Zero AR style weapons on the racks.

I did over hear an Academy employee telling another that "if someone called to ask if they had any AR-15s, that the person calling had to specify a make (bushmaster, etc) by name, or they would be told no"

Also, you should be able to see what they have based on the boxes in the locked cabinet with mesh doors under the display racks. Ones that are sold have a piece of paper attached with the owner's info.

At the Academy in Lubbock one of the counter guys said they couldn't display them but were sold out anyway.

5.56/.223 also sold out.

Had tins of 7.69x39 640 for $200. I didn't bite.

Confirmed, in Tulsa: AR's are below the counter, and you must specifically name the gun you want to buy, they will not show you the floor model or answer questions that give away a model name..... They are selling the rest of what they have and then.........
