Ha, no way, you've lost that Kimber forever. If I buy a 3" it will
just be an addition.

That's OK, long as I can shoot it occasionally.

New picture of the kids. Ultra CDP II and Ultra SP II.

What's the difference in the 809 different versions of the Ultra? I got the last issue of Combat HandGuns, the one with the Ultra RCP on the cover, and I thought it was the cat's meow. so, what's the dealy-o?

The "Ultra" indicates the size as a 3" barrell. There are several different models available in the "Ultra" size. The RCP has a trough site, but you probably already noticed that.

All the Ultras are different in some way. The SP has a crazy paint job and ball milled micarta grips (not on gun in photo), the CDP has more "melted" corners and edges, ambi safety and nice wood grips (also not on gun in photo).
There are different sights, triggers, some are alloy framed and some are steel, one model doesn't even have sights at all!
You could easily break the bank if you wanted every single variation that Kimber has released.
So many guns, so little funds.

Haha, you might change your mind if you saw all the debt you'd inherit.

How about some small bore 1911 pics? Here's my Kimber 22lr conversion on my Series 70 Colt's frame. Took it out today and blazed 100 rds away and she runs like a champ!
