This is reloaded ammunition and when you calculate taxes and shipping it is not much less than new ammunition from Cabelas. More than Academy when they have it in stock.

Personally I would rather just shop locally.

I took an Intermediate Defensive Handgun class at College of the Mainland a year ago. We were required to used their ammo (frangible rounds) for the class which were provided as part of the course. I believe they were Remington frangible rounds. We found two round that the case was crimped and one with a recessed bullet (that one was jammed on my gun barrel and spent 5 minutes removing it, luckily no damage to my gun).

The instructor, who is a former police officer told us that when he was in the force, when he cleaned his gun, he would take a box of his carry ammo and would inspect and drop each round into the barrel chamber to verify they were good. He would then mark each box so that he knew he had checked each and every one of the rounds on that box and were good to go. Since then I've been doing the same with my carry ammo.

Thank you. This is great advice. My son is a LEO and I will be passing all of this information on to him. They mark their magazines accordingly, but I bet they have never thought about the ammo.

Freedom munitions is my range ammo for students that rent gun & ammo.
Never had a problem at all. I will not every put ammo that I dont really trust in a student gun. If there is a malfunction I want it to be shooter error.

I have found Monarch to be cheaper when you can find it at academy. I can buy this by the case & not have to go several times to Academy.

I give it a :thumbs2:
I have seen their blaster in 223 but never been available in 9mm when I needed some. I would sure use that too.

Monarch is the other brand I use at the range... never had issues with it, but I haven't fired as many as FM (~500 rds). I loaded up on Monarch 30-06 last weekend... buy haven't tried it yet.

Since then ... NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH ... no contact of any kind. I've called multiple times, only to get voice mail or a busy signal every time. Sent multiple emails. No response.

I knew when ordering it would be 2-3 weeks to RECEIVE my ammo. But they're automated system said I'd receive regular updates on order status.

If I don't hear something by mid week, I'm calling my credit card company to complain and ask about canceling payment.

I know ammo manufacturers are busy with the current panic, but this complete lack of any communication is unacceptable.
i would try calling their storefront 281-416-5493 or 888-743-1820 and let them know your deal maybe they might be able to help or at least get you in contact with someone from the main location
Yes, I've tried those numbers as well. The store numbers gives a constant busy signal. The online customer service number gives voice mail.

Their website is saying 3-4 weeks. Historically with larger orders it takes 2-3 weeks.
I ordered some on the 30 and its in transit now.

their price for reman ammo, is now the same as factory new ammo. KEEP IN MIND... that unless you drive to the store, youll have to pay sales tax+ shipping. They dont ship from there store front so your shipping from where ever they make their ammo.

The problem is that there is no "locally" for many of us right now. Every time I've checked at WalMart they've been out, and other places have raised their prices to be not worth the trip.

I ordered 500 rounds of remanufactured 9mm from them last week, I think the total price including tax and shipping was about $140 which comes to about $14/box. A higher price than normal for new ammo but not the $20/box a range would charge me.

For others wondering on the timing- I ordered on 1/3 and got a ship notice with tracking number this morning. It's faster than originally quoted so I am pleased.

Just another data point on timing: I also placed an order on 1/3 and received a shipment notification this morning (1/14).

I didn't receive any notifications regarding my order's status in the meantime, but wasn't overly concerned. Although it's my first order with the company, my training school has had good experience with them and recommends them. I wasn't billed while the order was pending.

That is good to know, I placed my order on the 7th and was also starting to wonder. At least now I know about where I am "in line".

Please do not buy from them. It slows down fulfillment of my own orders.

This true if you don't catch a sale or buy the blaster training packs. It used to be cheaper and was worth the wait and shipping but right now its about the same.

Lately I just order from sgammo
