Dallas mayor - no gun shows on public property
Dallas Mayor was just on tv suggesting a ban on gun shows on public property.

That is the first I have heard or seen about this. Here is a link to the mayors office to send a polite email espousing our views on this. Please be polite and a good representative of gun owners. http://www.ci.dallas.tx.us/forms/mcc/ma ... tactus.htm

Its official, I just saw this headline the 6pm news on Channel 8. Fortunately, Attorney General Abbott has threatend lawsuits to any municipality that bans guns shows on public property.

I hope Abbott follows through and slaps them with lawsuits faster than the ink can dry on the Mayor's Decree's.

Re: Dallas mayor - no gun shows on public property
Here's my comment.
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but AG Abbott has stated he will sue any city that tries to ban gun shows from public property.
Frankly I don't care what Dallas does. Banning gun shows is an empty gesture that accomplishes nothing.
You foolishly chased off the Dallas Cowboys, lost the Cotton Bowl, and on and on. So, ban the gun shows. Other cities will gladly accept the money.

They already tried it in Houston years ago. Houston was roundly spanked in court and put into its place. Gun shows continue on public property here.philip964 wrote:I suspect Houston will be next.

Actually, I think the Dallas mayor is a member of MAIG, so, yes.MeMelYup wrote: Sounds like one of bloomies buds.
