I have the same experience with those I know that are not pro gun. They just have no experience with firearms and are genuinely afraid. Honestly I think several of them are afraid of hurting themselves or others around them. They all kept talking about how people just snap! I don't think they trust themselves.I have recently seen this kind of sentiment expressed by a libertarian and one of the economists responsible for Reagan's supply side economics. These are not dumb people but they are totally uninformed about guns and I believe essentially scared of them.
