Mailed regular mail: Feb 12
Recieved/background pending: March 9 :waiting:
BACKGROUND CHECK COMPLETED: March 26 :hurry:

Seems to be the thing to do, so here goes. Class on July 31 (compl,eted fingerprints and online app in early January) Mailed last item the CHL 100 and supporting docs on Feb 2. Status remained electronic application received, "awaiting application package" for 5-1/2 weeks. Status changed to package complete undergoing background check March 13 license mailed on March 21...I still haven't got it! I'm in Corpus and mail usually takes 2 days at the most to get to San Antonio. It's frustrating that it has been in the mail 5 days from Austin. If I get it today, it'll be 52 days. Doesn't sound too bad, but man it seems like a long time.

I'm beginning to think the status of 'mailed' doesnt really mean it went out in the mail. It must sit around somewhere and they probably are mailed once a week on a friday or something because mine has said 'mailed' for a week now. I know it doesnt take that long for mail to get from Austin to Dallas even via parcel post.

I mailed mine from Dallas the same day as you (Feb 12), but went to 'background check' 5 days later. Hoping thats a good sign that I'm within a few days of moving to completed as well. One consistent thing I've noticed on this forum is that there is NO consistency. Oh well, it will come when it comes.

This is complete frustration all over again, especially considering this is a renewal.

Mailed renewal packet on 2/29
As of 3/27, still awaiting materials.

I have called and their 'help line' stated that it should take up to 6 weeks to process applications. Not very helpful.

Today is 1 month since DPS received my packet and app, still not in the system. A friend who mailed off everything just got his letter from DPS to have his finger prints done, he said it took 2.5 months to get said letter....wow.
2/26-Mailed paper app and packet.
5/20-Plastic in hand.
83 days mailbox to mailbox.

My guess was spot on...PLASTICO!!!!! Mailed to Received in 48 days :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

I'm saying bye bye to the waiting room, er at least for my CHL. I am still waiting for my holster to be made so I can do my walk!

ETA: Well, I didn't do the wally walk, but I did do the Cabela's cruise today. Walked in and saw something that I couldn't resist -- ended up buying a new gun with my CHL on my first walk :biggrinjester:
