Yup, I read up on that. I don't see myself ever needing to use it for anything that far. It's primarily just for home defense. I decided I'd rather have an uninterrupted field of view since it would most likely be close quarters use only.

Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. Being left handed, I just have to get used to the fact that my whole life is pretty much backwards. :mrgreen:

I have that top safety on my 930. It is indeed a vast improvement.

The little factory safety is plastic. If you have any trouble removing that one-way screw, just grab one end of the safety with a pair of pliers and twist. It will break right at the screw hole. After you get it out of the way, you can use the pliers to remove the screw.

Be sure to do the above over a sheet or something. The detent ball is very small and will easily disappear. When reassembling, use a dab of oil or grease on the ball so it will stay where you put it.
