I put together a big list of dates based on what people put down and I think your right, the wait time for those submitting in May and June is very short compared to March/April. The May people have been seeing 35-45 days mailbox to mailbox, looks like June may be in the 20-30 range in most cases. Not sure if it trends this way each year, but something for new potential CHL holders to think about if they are putting off getting it.

Ive been seeing that in "manufacture pending" the next 2 levels go pretty fast. Next is "Manifactured" Then Mailed.

Honestly I dont know if already having a security clearance or being a PPO has helped speed up the process? I hope not then I would feel like an ass especially to those who have been waiting months!!!

I mailed Apr 22, been in BG under review for about two weeks , I've had security clearances and multiple special background investigations. And yet, I'm coming up on 60 days, and no apparent progress. :confused5

From what I have been seeing, those that mailed documents in April seem to be in the 60-70 days box to box period, those sent in May seem to be in the 40-50 box to box (with a few in the mid 30s), and June is hauling butt coming in close to 30 days or sooner in some cases. Your application may have got stuck on someone's desk that took a long vacation, hang in there, it will be here before you know it.

I just registered after reading the forum for a year or so and recently submitting my chl app....here's my timeline

5/29/13- application submitted online
5/31/13-fingerprints done
6/2/13- initial chl class completed
6/3/13- mailed everything regular mail from Lewisville
been checking dps website everyday even though I learned better from reading here...
6/19/13- first update: everything received, background check in progress...

obviously very pleased with this news...
