I was the foreman on a murder trial last year in Brazoria county where we convicted the defendant of 2nd degree murder. Once the verdict was read, the judge polled the jury and asked a few questions as well. Instead of using our juror numbers, he referred to us by our names, and asked additional questions to me by saying my name at Lear 3 times.

The murderers family and friends were there and every single one of them now know my name. Needless to say I was quite uncomfortable.

You'd think a judge would know better. Did anyone point it out to him?

Robert Zimmerman was a model of calm and accurate discussion, replying to Piers Morgan's baiting and inaccuracies. My jaw dropped when Morgan claimed the 17-year-old boy was only armed with a bag of Skittles to which Zimmerman replied Martin was armed with a concrete sidewalk and bone-breaking fists.

I'd love to "arm" Morgan with a Blue Gun, sucker punch him in the face, start slamming his head into a sidewalk, and see how long it take him to go for his gun. Heck, do that to every moron who thinks this was a bad outcome and eventually they might see the truth.

Of course they need to release the names of the jurors. Otherwise, how will the sweet angels be able to dispense "justice" for Trayvon?

I understand. Today I prayed that people who scream "racism" and "injustice" at the verdict would have their lives touched by The Lord in a very personal and very Old Testament way. Most especially the celebrities.

Ben Jealous, the President of the NAACP, has issued a statement calling on the DOJ to pursue a civil rights case against Zimmerman. I don't think he has any idea the backlash that would hit them if the DOJ seriously considers doing this. Leave it alone, gentlemen. You lost the race baiting battle. Go somewhere and lick your wounds and think long and hard about why so many of your young are getting in trouble with the law and killing each other in the streets of America. It's time now for introspection, not vengeance.

I expect the DOJ decision to touch this or not depends mostly on their view of how it affects the mid-term congressional elections. It might fire up the Left base, but I agree with Bald Eagle about the potential backlash.

I really have a difficult time understanding all of the blacks on TV today screaming about how this wasn't justice and that the US justice system is a failure.
The case was trumped up by the state AG, GZ had his day in court, the evidence and the witnesses gave their accounts, the jury obviously took their charge very seriously...and they issued a verdict. How is this not justice?

Is the term Justice a euphemism for Revenge in the black community today? Please, someone, help me understand.
