How many of us will be renewing just after Sept 1?

#1

Post by MikeHoncho »

Since the requirement for a renewal class drops off September 1, I'm assuming there are a few folks holding out on starting their renewal app. Might we be in for a long wait for replacement plastic?

I'm thinking so, but it beats $75 for a renewal class.

Mine is still valid until Jan 2015 so I will have plenty of time after the changes on Sept 1st.

Not me. Just renewed mine a few months ago. It would have expired Sep 2.

I got a reminder letter about needing to take a class. I renew in January. Will I have to take a class?

Not if you submit your renewal app after Sep 1.

Mine is up in March, so I will be waiting until after the first.

I'm envisioning quite a backlog once 9/1 arrives.

I will be renewing on 9/1/13 - my CHL expires in October, no big deal if I don't have the new license by then

My chl expires in January. I envision there will be such a backlog along with the
rule changes that I might not get my renewal before my license expires...

However, It might be close enough to Sep 1 that I may not be able to get into a
class before then... Catch 22?

I have a similar issue, in that I can't get into a class prior to Sep 1. This is complicated by the fact that I filled out the online renewal application a while back, before I heard of the change. Then I caught up in a lot of work relate travel, and have not been able to get into a class.

Does anyone know how in-process applications will be handled after Sep 1? Can I just reapply? I realize I might eat another application fee, but that's not that different than paying for a class.

Similar situation here as rocinante. Like a dummy I just reapplied today. Can we just reapply after Sep 1?

I wouldn't mind sitting through another renewal class, but just who is going to offer one after Sep 1??
