Was at Bass Pro in Grapevine last night, they had lots of ammo available, with the exception of .380 and .22. Many many boxes of 5.56, .40, .45, 9mm, etc..

In store ammo, Walmart is the cheapest, but you have to be at right place, right time, to even pick up a few boxes of what you're looking for. Cabelas is a hit are miss too, cause ammo comes in a flies out quickly.

Main place to stay away from is cheaper then dirt in store or online and a few other places, due to high mark ups.

I know this is supposed to be Ammo on Sale but just wanted to remark about finding some ammo today pretty easily...

Went in to Carter's Country on Shaver in Pasadena (Houston area for you out of towners). Really just killing time at lunch but found some spare magazines for my new Body Guard.

I have some ammo on the way but UPS says it won't be delivered until Monday. I want to shoot my new pistol Saturday so I asked the guy if they had any 380 target, he says, "sure, how much you want?".

I bought 2 boxes (50 rounds each) of 380 Auto, 95gr FMJ, Brass Cased for $19.97 each.

As I write this, I know it would have helped if I asked him about his limits and other stock but I didn't think about it.

They did seem to have other ammo in the same area behind the counter.

I'll check on other calibers and any limits and post back next week.

Academy in Katy @ I-10 & Grand Parkway. All calibers except 9mm & .22LR are back on the shelves near the gun counter. No limit on the number of boxes that you can purchase. 9mm & .22LR are still up front in customer service with a 2 box limit.
