This one is close to home:
Here is a copy of the 1930 census form that has my paternal grandfather and grandmother, plus my father's older sister (Dad was born five years later, so he didn't show here), plus a whole bunch of cousins (including my godmother, who is listed at about 1 1/2 years old at the time), all on the same street. I never met these grandparents, because they passed away when my dad was just a kid.

Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.
