New test typo?
Hooray! Actual information!
The new 25-question test looks good. Only two that I would consider "tricky", but not really "trick questions".
I know the thing has only been out for 20 minutes, but if you look at the very first question, it seems to me that the second occurrence of the word "or" should be "for".
What do you think?

Yep, it should be 'for'. Kind of changes the connotation of the answer. I'm going to put an 'f' in front of that word, because I know that some student of mine will bring that up. Perfectionists...... (I know I would have!)

Most importantly, since they see that at the end of class, they may leave with an incorrect understanding of the law.

Before I create a "fox paw", is it permissible to post a corrected test file here? It is still password protected. Just added the "f".

I wouldn't go posting the test -- ANYWHERE!kg5ie wrote:The_Busy_Mom wrote:Yep, it should be 'for'. Kind of changes the connotation of the answer. I'm going to put an 'f' in front of that word, because I know that some student of mine will bring that up. Perfectionists...... (I know I would have!)

Re: New test typo?
I think (hope?) the confusion that could be caused by the typo is sufficient for DPS to fix it. It would take them all of four minutes to save and post a corrected version. Maybe five minutes.
At the very least, hopefully, they might post something that authorizes us to make the change on our copies of the test, but modifying and posting an official document would definitely be a "fox paw" of the first order.

DPS has corrected the typo on question number 1.
