deputies seize Zimmerman's "stockpile"
Re: deputies seize Zimmerman's "stockpile"
100 rounds doesn't even cover one average trip to the range for one caliber for me....Stockpile indeed.

Those cases are pretty easy to isolate. Of course we'll have to wait for the trial (assuming their is one) but haven't there been cases where women injured themselves to get their way in a domestic dispute? Not saying that GZ didn't lose it and act the fool in this case, just that we don't know for certain. Lots of bad stuff swirling around this whole thing.

So when does GZ get his "stockpile" back?
"George Zimmerman’s girlfriend wants to drop charges"
Affidavit filed by GZ's (now ex- if GZ has any shred of rationality left) girlfriend:
George, get your stuff back and run away. Do not look back. One of the best comments suggested he go to North Dakota, get hired in the oilfields, work his tail off and ignore women and everybody else for a couple years.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/12/ge ... more-72840" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;I, Samantha Scheibe do hereby swear that the following is true and accurate:
1. On November 18,2013, I called 911 during an argument with my boyfriend, George Zimmerman.
2. We were arguing over personal matters, and I was very overwhelmed and upset at the time.
3. When I was being questioned by the police I felt very intimidated. I was not allowed to call an attorney nor was I allowed to eat or drink anything for a very longtime. I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to the police. I do not feel that the arrest report accurately recounts what happened.
4. There were guns in the residence that belonged to George and a gun that belongs to me.
5. During the argument, George and I exchanged words l.u. the heat of the moment and we were in very close proximity in a relatively small room. George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.
6. I want to be with George. I contacted George’s attorney to ask if there was any way that the stay away order can be lifted so that we can talk and be together. I am not afraid of George any manner and I want to be with him.
7. I do not want George Zimmerman charged. I make this decision freely, knowingly and voluntarily, without any intimidation coercion or undue influences. Neither George Zimmerman nor anyone on his behalf bas threatened me or coerced me or subjected me to any undue influences.
Further, I request that the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office not be allowed to harass me because I do not wish to take part in any prosecution.

The state can still prosecute if they decide to do so to protect the victim. A change of heart in abusive relationships is pretty common after it cools down, until she burns the cookies again.

Legal Insurrection noted that she had been trying to shop an interview with a tabloid even before this alleged incident. Hmmm. Prosecutions can be abusive too...if I could just think of an example...gigag04 wrote:The state can still prosecute if they decide to do so to protect the victim. They sure could, but I wonder how difficult it would be without a witness. Or that they already have her lying when, IIRC, she told them she was pregnant on the 911 call. The defense would surely call her as a witness if it got that far and she still wanted him.gigag04 wrote:The state can still prosecute if they decide to do so to protect the victim. I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

For the record I don't care what the DA does with the case. I think Zimmerman looks more and more like a thug the more time goes on. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions but that's a lot of negative run ins with the cops. At some point there needs to be changes made in one's decision making process.

Interesting. Two LEOs agree to the thug label.texanjoker wrote:gigag04 wrote:For the record I don't care what the DA does with the case. Let's review.
1) He was arrested for attacking an undercover officer who did not identify himself and was doing something with/to his friend. He received deferred adjudication.
2) He was accused of abuse by a girlfriend against whom he also took out a restraining order. (Makes you wonder who was the aggressor/initiator. Judges don't hand out restraining orders like candy.)
3) He shot and killed a teenager in justifiable self defense. He was placed on trial for murder, vilified in the press and by powerful politicians and threatened with death by thousands and thousands of people.
4) He was accused by his ex-wife of threatening her with a gun, which she later admitted was false.
5) He was accused by his girlfriend of threatening her with a gun, which she now admits was false.
I would say that he is a troubled young man who has been through more stress and hassle than most of us will experience in our entire lives. But a thug? I thought those were aggressive criminals. So far he's had one minor charge that ended up in deferred adjudication. Most thugs have been arrested for drugs, violent behavior or other crimes by the time they are teenagers.
I understand George is not a sympathetic figure, especially with his obviously poor choices in female companions. But ISTM we should cut him a break. After what he's been through it's amazing he hasn't killed himself.

Re: deputies seize Zimmerman's "stockpile"
A female victim recanting an accusation that she earlier leveled against an alleged aggressor does not in my way decrease the likelihood that crime occurred to me.
Two different female victims is critically alarming.
The added extra behavior is pretty damning in my mind.
I'm not sure what you're looking for in aggressive criminals but roughing up women is high on my list. I know it can be interesting that two LEOs are thinking he's a thug. I was going to post that he is a different word ut the forum edits it to "thug." We're not always right. Just see typical behavior a lot. (Or did see...)
The stress argument doesn't hold water to me in his case. He hasn't been in combat getting blown up. I've served and entered a few high stress situations as an LEO side by side with guys that were blown up in the sandbox and mountains. PTSD is real but I don't think he gets a pass. I may be jaded though so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I never liked him to begin with.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?
