If you plan on buying one, as much for having as for use, then why not spend a few extra dollars and get a Colt?

No, I dont think they are significantly better than some other options. If I were getting a shooter, something with a match barrel, well done beavertail and good sights, with a decent trigger would be on my list, like NM Springer Loaded or Range Officer. But for a GI style piece to add to the collection and occasionally shoot, I would be hard pressed to bypass a Colt or Springer. :patriot:
