If the air has any sort of impurities in it (fog, moisture, pollen, dust), red lasers will be visible back to the source as well...

Thanks man. Received my Streamlight TLR-1 in the mail last weekend and ordered a Bravo Concealment RTT Holster (can't wait to get this but 6-8 week wait right now sucks). Gotta find a good non-flashlight holster for it next.

If you looking for a raven/bravo type holster and dont want the wait time, look at north texas custom kydex.

Ive got two of his holsters and he's working on a custom mag/light carrier for me now.

He does great work and the glock 23/tlr-2 holster I ordered on friday and picked up saturday. the commander holster I ordered on thursday and picked up the next saturday. it took that long to wait on the blue gun commander to get shipped to him for the mold.

That's the first green laser I've seen (although I've heard of them before). Any advantage to a green laser over red?
The green is quite a bit brighter, easy to see in broad daylight... It paints a big dot! As mentioned below, they chew up a battery! But I can still get 6hrs of continuous laser on a single battery. Just got it, so I don't have many shots with it yet. It performed well the first time at the range though. :)

The green paints a line much clearer than the red. Definitely a disadvantage in giving away your position... Although the intimidation factor may be a pro when to comes to self defense. You will certainly know that someone is pointing a laser at you!

It's not quite a light saber... But it's close!

The device also has a 100 lumen light that has a strobe option. It's very disorienting and bright. Another tactical advantage. :)

This is why I throw a handful of talcum powder before every shot.

Not that I want to get off topic but I am thinking this wouldn't be a problem for the good guy. The BG knows where you are. He is attacking you. ;-)

I have the same feature on my Streamlight TLR-1s and it is very disorienting. I can only imagine getting "hit" by that in the dark and not expecting it.
