FINALLY got someone on the line after a 40 minute hold.

After telling him that my application was submitted on 10/17/13 electronically, he quickly said that "It is too early to know your status for that application date". I pressed him a little further and asked if he could confirm if they actually physically had my documents, and he said "It is still too early to know if we have your documents." I clarified that he understood it has now been 84 days since the submission, and he said they are currently processing applications from mid-October. He said he cannot give me a date for a status change, and it may be a couple days or a couple weeks. :banghead:

Honestly, I feel like it will be February until I get my card in hand. This is one of the most frustrating processes I've gone through....

But congrats to everyone that has gotten a status update!! Hopefully I won't be far behind!

Since I got my update today I figured I give y'all some more good news. I mailed in for a lost truck title Saturday and got it in yesterday. So I guess not all of the Texas dps is struggling.

delivery confirmed 10/25

Day 75 and.........
Still waiting for any change in status from "Waiting for receipt of required materials"

Anyone been keeping up with how long it takes after the first status update? Was always worried bout the update and haven't been keeping up with the rest.
