Walmart in Tyler had plenty of ammo tonight. Pick up several 100 boxes of .45. They are running about $7.00 cheaper than Academy. They also had three Colt AR 15 on the shelf.

It is the bricks that seem to be in short supply all over Texas. I've been watching the inventory app and it doesn't appear that Texas is getting much in either that or the 100 round packs of 9mm.

The Wal-Mart's that I check have all cut their locked ammo cases in half and those halves are starting to fill up. .380 is another one that does appear anywhere.

That WWB stuff at about $48 a box or the Federal at about $30 a box? I have been seeing more and more of the WWB, but .50/round is a little pricey. I've been passing up on the WWB waiting for the Federal stuff to make a come back.

It's not just Texas - we recently visited friends in Las Cruces, NM and there was zero .22LR at WallyWorld. Still looking on-line for decent priced bricks. There's lots of 380 ACP on-line but it's expensive :totap: . BassPro in San Antonio had some 22LR a couple of months ago but the last time I went there was none.

I don't go looking everyday but, it's been pretty much a year since I've seen any .22 LR on the shelve in the Jacksonville WM.

Same with Missouri. Was there over the holidays and went ot Wally World several times in the mid-morning and no .22LR. They said as fast as it comes in it gets bought, even with the box limitaitons. They don't get a whole lot at one time, so the small amount gets bought up quickly. Luckily my Father-In-Law has a stash of it and doesnt shoot .22 much, so was able to get a brick from him. :thumbs2:

A friend in Canada says they have plenty of .22 on the shelf but I doubt CBP would like him shipping me some.

After lunch I decided I waited long enough and have spent way too much time looking for reasonably priced 22LR so I ordered two bricks of overpriced* Aguila Copper Coated Hollow Point High Velocity SuperExtra 22LR 38gn from AmmoFast. Hopefully it will cycle okay in my M&P (Walther) 22.

* overpriced means it's available, reasonably priced means the other guy just ordered the last brick :smash:

Same thing in Michigan. I got my sister in law in Michigan started shooting .22 pistol. But she can hardly find any to shoot.

Stopped in the local Wally World here in Paris yesterday and they were all out... guy at sports desk had to be there at 5:00AM and then the first three in line would get them.... checked Atwoods today they didnt have any.... finally went to local pawn shop got three boxes for 9.00/piece.
Bought daughter a Walther P22 and was hoping to take her this weekend so she could shoot, but with the place we go is probably under water by now.

Hope production catches up. On a happy note, I finally heeded my wife's pleas to clean out my side of the closet. Lo and behold, I found a 525 round box that I forgot I bought and stashed a couple years ago.

Atwoods carries ammo? You mean the farm and ranch supply place?
