I looked at the index for like five minutes before I went back and seen you had already found the related writing. I apriciate that. Well I'm about 130+ days in so now I'll be looking at close to a year. I'm glad I'm allowed to keep protection in my truck until then at least. ;-)
jweaver, If you're at 130+ days then it seems to me that you have 50- days to go. They have 90 days to process your application unless the CHL specialist makes a request for information. It's at that point they can take an additional 90 days.
Good luck!

When I call them make you feel like an idiot for even bothering them. it is ridiculous how dysfunctional this dept is. I am not sure what my options are, other than to wait...because that is essentially what they tell you to do when you call. Any suggestions on what I should do next?
Both my and my wife's applications are still not fulfilled and apparently we both fell-into the October computer problems someone said they had.

What fries my bacon is that despite that we have both resubmitted our information for handling, there is no "special consideration" that I can see with respect to getting our applications completed.

What a PIA.

I submitted my documents 10/21/2013. I recieved my first update 2/11/14. That is 113 days for an update... just an update. I am now waiting on the background check. I feel you other guys pain. I checked and some of the november people have already gotten there plastic. Nice to know if I submitted my documents a month late I would have had my plastic by now.

Updated when I checked today to mailed. Haven't check it since I got the paper work from them on the 28th so don't know when it updated. But wow that was way faster than I expected. Now maybe I'll get it this weekend. Looking forward to trying out all the different pistols I've got to see which one will be carried the most :thewave :hurry: :anamatedbanana

My experience with government organizations is that employees fall into one of several categories, two of which are dedicated employees who take pride in their work and air thieves. Sounds like your application may have found its way to the latter.

Now that Jweaver has his, and Slobber's is on the way -- is anybody else who applied in October still waiting?

I want to hang around until everybody finally has it.

I'm still out here waiting! Submitted materials electronically on October 28th, and received no updates at all so I finally called on Day 86. Lady said it was "Under Review". The next day (coincidence?) my status changed for the first time to "under review". This was January 25th. Has been stuck there now for just about a month. Today is Day 116. Pretty long review considering I've never even had one traffic violation!
