I shot a Rhino

It is the softest .357/38 I have ever shot and it is very accurate. I thought the barrel on the bottom was a gimmick but it did seem to help reduce muzzle flip quite a bit. The action is also pretty unique because you can cock the hammer but then it will reset while sending up a red flag to let you know it's in single action. The trigger was phenomenal even in double action. The only issue I noticed is that it spits out a lot more powder residue and gunk onto your hands, especially with reloads, than other revolvers. I suppose that might be due to the barrel and cone being on the bottom and closer to your hands as a result.

Definitely not something you'd want to pass up shooting if you have the opportunity.

It has a chip in the grip. Was bought at a gun show for a nice price thanks to that too!

The looks have really grown on me and the shoot fantastically. The recoil feels very different than every other revolver I've shot. Given the bore axis, it has more of a push than the flip associated with other revolvers. I would love to own one someday.

Interesting. I agree about the ergonomics and the felt recoil. The one I borrowed had the most awful DA trigger I have ever felt. It was stiff and inconsistent throughout the trigger pull. On SA it wasn't bad. I wonder if I was shooting a "dud".

Got a buddy who is a long-time revolver nut, with a safe full of S&W, Colt, Ruger, Taurus, Dan Wesson, Freedom Arms, etc., etc. Serious shooter, NRA Instructor, etc. Daily carries two wheel guns and speedloaders.

He is very much a big thumbs up on this Rhino.

I see they offer it in 9mm and .40 S&W with moonclips. Since they also sell a .357 Mag, I have to assume the cylinder length would accommodate a 10mm instead of .40 S&W. That could also be an interesting choice.

Can't say for sure but this one had a stock trigger and it was incredibly smooth and light.
