Yeah, it's NHRA, I thought so, but since it's been a while since I started carrying again...thought I'd double check.

Thank you.

Are all NHRA events ones where the participants get paid? I ask because I know nothing about racing.cprems wrote:Is it an NHRA sanctioned event? If so, you cannot carry to professional sporting events. Yes, drag racing is considered a sporting event.

Re: Places to carry? Can I?
My limited understanding is if its sanctioned under a professional association, then it's a restricted carry place. As for pay? I am not sure about payment. I'm not even sure if that is part of the requirement under the law.jbarn wrote:Are all NHRA events ones where the participants get paid? Hopefully someone else can answer this part if I have given incorrect information.

I take the law to mean if there's a racing event going on then that means no carry. Doesn't matter if its "street night" or a "sanctioned" event. If vehicles are lining up at the dragstrip then they are racing.

The law doesn't say anything about racing in regards to sporting events. The only mention of racing is horse and greyhound racetracks.Selcouth wrote:I take the law to mean if there's a racing event going on then that means no carry. Unless the race is a professional high school or college sporting event it is not off limits.

Reading the law does not show that..... The law just says it is unlawful to carry at a professional sporting event. To me, that means the event must be professional.

NHRA sanctioned events are professional. Just like pro golf, Nascar, Basketball and any other professional event.

I sincerely apologize to anybody I offended by suggesting the Second Amendment also applies to The People who don't work for the government.
