Our first carries.

Post by Setxjeff »

My Wife got Her chl yesterday, Her first carry was this morning stopping in HEB on the way to work AMT 380 in IWB holster.

My first carry was local meat market and then Dollar General store. Rossi 461 3" barrel 357 mag. OWB Bianchi holster.

Both went very well, We have been practicing at home, critiquing each other's carry for months.

Sorry We did not go to Wally World as is the standard.

Congrats on the license and on the first day of carry for both of you.

Now Step Two: do it again tomorrow!

Listen here.... When I tried to substitute destinations my first time out, the worthy members of this forum threatened to confiscate my man card. Begin reading here: viewtopic.php?p=173454#p173454" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I see no reason why you should not be subject to the same standards as everyone else.

In my defense We call dollar general our local Wal-Mart. It's about 30 mile round trip to a real Wal-Mart.

I can relate. It's 60 miles for me.

Heck, the Dollar General is 12 miles round trip.

Our WalMart is only about 2 miles away, but it could take the same amount of time as your 15 miles (one way) if Houston traffic is acting up.

Thanks! Yeah, I was surprised becuase everyone was chatting about 60, 90, 120 days. On my status page, from one day to the next, I had nothing, then the " change your address" option on the page. Then I read where you get that on your page when they've mailed your license. My heart started jumping. Then, a few days later, there it was in my mail!!

Congratulations on your first carries.

Once you carry a while, your EDC will shrink in size and become lighter too.

Then it's time to size up what you'd like for a BUG (Backup Gun). Been there, done that. :-)

Haha I just got mine yesterday, told a buddy, and his first question was 'Did you do your Walmart Walk?'

I didn't, but carried to work today, as my company allows it if you have a CHL. Do alot of driving all over this part of the state.

I guess the Walmart thing is pretty universal? :)
