good.45 for concealed carry?

#97

Post by edorgon »

gPrimary is LC9, but go with a S&W air weight .38 every once in awhile. Have a Springfield 1911 .45 RO that i LOVE, so am investigating if it's feasible to carry a .45 cap concealed. My usual wear is shorts and a colored tshirt, or khakis and a polo, so not sure how that will work.

Recommendations welcome

I carry a Remington R1 when I am not in office clothes. Shorts or jeans, with a Magellan short sleeve un-tucked, and a D.M Bullard Dual Carry holster. The most important part is a good belt to support it, but I find it comfortable to carry, and have never had anyone even realize I was packing, much less a 1911. In fact I really shocked a friend of mine who asked to go to the range with me. Got to the range and un-holstered. He was totally floored, as he didn't have any idea I had a gun on me at all. I just smiled and told him, "That's the idea ;-) ."

That would be a trigger guard cover. I use one every time I carry my 21SF.

It is similar to what Raven Concealment makes that they call the Vanguard 2. It allows you to carry safely without the bulk of a holster.

Glock 19 for work, college (I live in Colorado), and security at church (once again I live in Colorado); loaded with Hornady Critical Duty 90236. 1 magazine in the belt for work and school, I carry 2 mags when working at church. Galco King Tuk, or Galco N3 for daily carry. In the winter I sometimes use a Galco FLETCH. Since I wear a jacket at church I make use of the lightning fast Safariland 6377 ALS.

Glock 42 for golfing, and formal wear; loaded with Winchester W380D. 1 spare magazine in front pocket. Tagua pocket holster, Galco Ankle Glove on the way (hopefully) soon.

I carry any place I can carry lawfully. Period.
Glock 19 Gen4 EDC, Glock 42 (golf gun), AR15 14.5" Midlength (nightstand gun), Browning Buckmark (fun gun)
