I have heard of Katy and I like the area. We like Katy Mills and stay at the SpringHill Suites there when we visit!

FYI: Katy Mills is posted 30.06 at some entrances.

That really burns me up when a place posts at some entrances but not all. I mean come on, it's a SIGN... If you're going to try and suspend my right to carry (unconstitutionally i might add) at least be consistent about notifying me about it.

I would really hate to accidentally carry in there where i'm not wanted and you know... do something horrible like defend myself, my family, my friends, or your other patrons in a life threatening situation.

Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, I have made it a POINT to find the management for 30.06 establishments and read them the riot act (in a polite way) and point out the only folks who are going to pay attention to those signs are the ones that abide the law anyway and that I would NOT be giving them my business until they removed their sign.

In recent years, I have shied away from using the name I was "born" into Internet forums with, becuase the Internet keeps getting to be a smaller and smaller place.

I still use it in a couple places, but decided to start looking for another name.

Shooter is pretty self-explanatory on a gun board. My wife is a much bigger fan of comedy than I am, so after she made me watch Billy Madison, taking the name of the bumbling villain in the movie (Shooter McGavin) sounded like a natural.

"This is Shooter's tour!"

Well, since "shooter" is a double entendre now, it gets picked a lot before I can register, so "shooter_tx" is a little more unique.

If you where to google my callsign you would find out more about me than googling my name.
My call is WI5O. There are probably several of us amateurs...

Mine is not so obvious. ShootingStar. Well, I love to shoot, and though I'm not a star in the truest sense of the word, yet, I'm working on it.

Not quite sure why this popped in my head when thinking about a user name, but I was anxious to get started so I really didn't give it much thought. Basically it had the word Shooting in it and that's all that really mattered.

I shoot more black powder than anything else.
I used to use the handle when I only shot cap lock, because I thought frizzen was a better handle than nipple. :o

Mine started several years ago on a fishing board. There was another Dan already registered and I didn't want to just use Dan2 so I used the number of my house address at the time. I've used it on many boards now and decided to keep it.

This was my old "handle" back in the mid 70's when every vehicle in Texas had at least one CB in it. I came by it because my wife and I owned a beautiful, verrrrry large male Old English Sheepdog at the time. He used to love to ride and went with us just about everywhere therefore, on the air, we became know as Mr. & Mrs. Shaggydog. Miss that old dog. He was a goodun.
