Is there time for that??Beiruty wrote:Now, the bill has to go back to the Senate, then Senate would have to strip the amendment and then goes to a conference for a fix.

It would do Fletcher and supporting members good to pick up tactics from Farer by staying directly on topic with questions from the opposition. That being said I think Fletcher et al are doing a heck of a job with the situation at hand. I just pray they can keep up the fight through to the finish.

Oh, absolutely. I recognized it as exactly what it was. That's why I brought up the "childish" reference. The comment really had nothing to do with this bill, and was just another ill placed slap. I would hope most folks are above that.jerry_r60 wrote:Surely you can see that there was sarcasm in the cheeseburger comment. They aren't going to get past amendment 1.
Why?
I don't much care for Strickland, but he wasn't out hunting cheeseburgers, and the comment wouldn't be allowed against a forum member, so why would it be made against him?
Is it open season here on those that are simply not liked?

It's about whether the bill was eligible to be placed on the Major State Calendar. OverruledRuark wrote:Can someone briefly explain what this is about?TexasJohnBoy wrote:Point of Order on the entire bill? Wow.

That at least makes clear what you were after. I'll not defend or attack the sarcasm, I'm not interested in that at this point. I did answer your question about why some of us are not fans of Stickland.ScooterSissy wrote:Oh, absolutely. I recognized it as exactly what it was. That's why I brought up the "childish" reference. He's lying. When he said he didn't get a single letter he looked down and to the right.
