So Sen Garcia is now focused on keeping the children safe (in the day care center that is attached to the university)?!?

It's for the children everyone...keep the good people disarmed!
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

Where did you get that idea? Community colleges have an extra two years to implement but there was no carve out exempting them.

Woohoo!! :thewave Chances it gets to the floor tomorrow in the house? I mean seriously, seems to me this bill has a lot of support. It dying on the LITTERAL LAST STEP would be monumentally frustrating!

And a political disaster for Speaker Straus.

At least the Senate has concurred on the Conference Report. It remains to be seen what will happen in the House.

One word, if this passes. Humility. I hope OCT doesn't keep up their crap, as this was despite their efforts. I am so glad I fell into the right crowd.. Thank you Charles. Be sure and pass on our thanks to the House and Senate, those who deserve it. I am sorry that other things have not been addressed, longer sessions perhaps?

Dear Lord, NO! As it is they meet every other year for three months and manage to pass thousands of bills. Imagine what they could do with longer sessions!

I'm pretty certain this is not true.

Almost certain that HB910 has language that would prohibit OC at educational institutions, regardless of SB11 passing or not.

If SB11 fails, I would love to be proven wrong re OC at educational institutions...

That tweet is not accurate. Under HB910, open carry is prohibited on college campuses.
