Every time I hear about the Austin one, it gets further and further away. The most accepted report I've heard is 100 yards, and I'm betting that may even be a little exaggerated.

That Austin shot most likely was a lucky shot. I mean holding a horse, night time, long shot with hand gun. However the prep went down.

Not a lucky shot. Because of holdover necessary for that shot, would've missed low if untrained for handgun distance shooting. Lots of guys make that shot regularly at dpc. I couldn't though.

I'm impressed he can hold two horses not to mention shooting accurately while doing so.
