Shooting Range near Frisco Texas?

#1

Post by DeterminednTX »

Is anyone aware of a shooting range near Frisco? I have visited the Bullet Trap in Plano numerous times and I have always found it to be a nice place to shoot, however it is over 20 miles from my house. It would be nice to find something a bit closer.

Thanks,

Nope, Sherman or the Tollway to Elm Fork or Dallas Pistol. Or find a farmer... :-)

Thanks Brass Monkey, but the farmers have been replaced with the builders out here now. I believe that we will one day see everything between Denton and McKinney down to FT Worth and Dallas connected.

Ya, as soon as they Bring Light Rail to McKinney... Do you know how much trash that will bring out here?

There used to be a couple of pretty nice outdoor ranges off of 380 - one east and one west. But they both went out of business last year.

As the crow flies, our little "Private Palace for Pistol Proficiency" is probably less than 20 miles west of you. But ... unless you can sprout wings, ;-) would have to deal with the traffic of The Colony, Lewsiville and Flower Mound to get there.

Thanks, From the website it looks like a nice Palace. I may try and venture out your way.

I've heard of a new range opening soon from a fellow IDPA guy ;-)
Not sure when they're opening but I'll see if I can run into him sometime soon and ask.

Bullet Trap is good and APG is east on 380 from Frisco. Our choices are getting slimmer.............
